Why dinosaurs not mentioned in the bible

Evolutionists teach that dinosaurs lived more than million years ago. Their theory is that dinosaurs died off long before humans came on the scene. Some sudden catastrophe brought about their demise. Other evolutionists believe the dinosaurs eventually evolved into birds. But the Bible presents a far different perspective about dinosaurs. According to the Bible, dinosaurs must have been created by God on the sixth day of creation.

The sixth day of creation was also the day when God created people Genesis Therefore, dinosaurs and people must have lived together on the earth at one time. Dinosaurs were also originally vegetarians. All animals were. Death affected everything including the plants and animals. Like the behemoth, the author makes note of the strong limbs this animal possesses. And Isaiah describes the leviathan as a twisting serpent.

These may align with a crocodile, but Job Job seem to indicate this creature literally breathed fire. Crocodiles and other similar reptiles have not been known to breathe fire. We should keep in mind, paleontologists did not dig up the first dinosaur until And according to World Wide Fund for Nature, 10, species go extinct every year.

Researchers still have not uncovered all the creatures that existed in other periods of history, perhaps including ones such as the leviathan. A lack of archeological evidence does not conclude such animals did not exist. For instance, 10 archeological finds in alone bolstered evidence for events and people mentioned in Scripture.

But before , those historical events and people still had existed, whether archaeological artifacts proved it or not. Does it matter? Imagine that you were reading a Chemistry textbook and you did not understand that it was a Chemistry textbook , so you thought you were in fact reading poetry.

You would ask the wrong questions about it. So imagine you are actually reading poetry, you are reading the Carl Sandburg poem 'The Fog Crept in on Little Cat Feet' and imagine you are teaching that poem and somebody in the back of the room raises their hand and says, 'Teacher, teacher, I don't understand How could the fog creep?

This whole poem, it just doesn't make any sense. There is no answer to that question, it is the wrong question, it is a bad question! That's a question that makes sense for poetry. The bottom line is, you have to understand the genre. If you misinterpret the genre, you misinterpret everything. And, so now, the great question is: What kind of book is the Torah? How could we begin trying to read this book without having any idea what kind of genre it is? But it is really not such a good legal treatise, because it sure has a lot of stories in it.

What are all these stories doing in a legal treatise? It is just out of character. It's got lots of philosophy in it; could it be a philosophy book? But you know, it has too many laws and stories for it to be a philosophy book. So what kind of book is it? Here is what I think it is. I would say it is a guide book. It is a book intended to guide individuals and a nation how to develop a relationship with those around them.

A relationship with people around them, a relationship with their God. Perhaps one of the sauropods? Some will argue these verses are referring to the hippopotamus or elephant. However, they run into the problem of explaining verse 17, since the tails of both animals are Their tails more resemble switches. In Job ,7,, the "Leviathan" is another creature described that has been hard to find a modern equivalent. Who can approach him with a double bridle? Some have translated the Leviathan to be a "crocodile," because of the large number currently present in the region.

However, the crocodile pales in comparison to the description given to the Leviathan. Do crocodiles really raise themselves? Aren't the underbellies of crocodiles smooth rather than "sharp potsherds? The Leviathan is also mentioned in the following verses: Psalms , , Isaiah The sudden extinction of the dinosaurs, as shown by the geological record, is a mystery that evolutionary paleontologists have considerable difficulty explaining.

What happened to wipe out the dinosaurs so quickly? A change of temperature? A change in the plants? Blasts of heat from a meteor? Mammals eating dinosaur eggs? A change in oxygen concentration? All these have been offered as explanations by evolutionary scientists. The dominant theory at present is that a large object from space hit Earth and blasted up so much dust that the sun was obscured for months.
