We saw a lot of evidence and heard a lot of feedback which indicated that raid content was a little overwhelming at the beginning of Cataclysm.

Our goal is to smooth that out a bit in Mists of Pandaria. Keep in mind, Mogu'shan Vaults opens up one week after Mists of Pandaria launches. Guarded by ferocious magical beings, these sacred chambers have remained silent since the mogu's departure. The Sha of Fear has corrupted the grand empress of the mantid. Her increasingly erratic and paranoid commands have driven the Klaxxi--the keepers of mantid culture--to take aggressive action. Because they are few in number, the Klaxxi are reluctantly willing to accept outside help in destroying the empress and purging their race of the sha's negative influence.

Straddling the mountain range between the Jade Forest and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, the Terrace of Endless Spring has been a sacred refuge for millennia.

Its peaceful fountains are said to have the power to heal and rejuvenate, but when the Sha of Fear attacked, many of the complex's guardians turned on each other in fits of terror. When Pandaria separated from Kalimdor many thousands of years ago, a veil of mist kept outsiders from discovering the newly-formed continent. The mists also hid a reminder of an ancient evil: Lei Shen's Throne of Thunder.

During his rule, this fortress was the seat of the Thunder King's power. Even after his death, great swathes of corrupted energy lingered, and now, the resurrected Thunder King and the Zandalari trolls intend to harness that energy to establish the reign of Lei Shen once again. The tensions stoked by Garrosh Hellscream's arrogance have reached a boiling point with the destruction unleashed upon the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. Leaders of the Alliance and Horde lay siege to Hellscream's capital in order to topple the ruthless Warchief once and for all!

The largest hatchling fiercely resisted, and when Lei Shen visited the handling pens, he laughed mightily at the charred mogu that lined the walls. He took the hatchling for his own, and for its obedience, granted it power over the storms and the sky.

For thousands of years following the death of the Thunder King, Nalak has guarded the walls of his hidden citadel, awaiting his return. Oondasta As the war against Lei Shen's island citadel began, Alliance and Horde scouts made an effort to intercept missives between the major Zandalari camps. One such exchange seemed to revolve around an unfamiliar Zandalari word, always surrounded by terms of conquest and power: Oondasta.

Somewhere in Pandaria, the Zandalari Beast Ward raises their mighty beasts as engines of war, and is putting the finishing touches on this Loa-infused monstrosity. The exact location, however, remains unknown Uncertain of the future of his people, Emperor Shaohao sought out the great Red Crane. The Great Crane challenged Shaohao to find the hope within himself, and cast off his uncertainty.

Once the Sha of Doubt was vanquished, the Emperor became a beacon of hope for his people. To pass the tiral of the Crane, warriors must believe in hope, even in the darkest of days. With omens of a bleak future floating through his mind. Yu'lon urged Shaohao to cast off the dark emotions that plagued him, and through his trials, Empero Shaohao would becone one with the land.

To pass the trial of the Serpent, warriors must be wise in their choices. When Emperor Shaohao was overcome with fear, the Black Ox counseled him to face his fears directly. After a protacted battle with the Sha of Fear, the Emperor emerged victorious. To pass the trial of the Ox, warriors must be resolute in the face of overwhelming danger. Xuen, The White Tiger The trial of Xuen is simultaneously a test of strength and a test of restraint.

When Xuen gave Emperor Shaohao a foot-pole and asked him to strike one of Xuen's warriors, the Emperor could not land a blow. For without restraint, anger and hatred run wild. The core chamber of the Vaults contains an army of terracotta warriors that are built into recesses within the walls.

When the players enter, the statues begin animating and attacking in huge waves, and the fight quickly turns into a free-for-all. There will be certain heavy-hitting statues that require tanking, and many of the other statues have special abilities to keep the non-tanks busy.

Currently, only Mogu'shan Vaults has been unveiled and opened for testing on the beta. The other two are highly subject to change before we know more.
