Ceramic tile can you plaster over

It is in a kitchen area and the only other alternative is to take all the tiles off approx. This is a big job and would rather plaster over exist.

Give it a coat with Wickes bonding agent, as it is better than PVA. You can also throw a few handfuls of sand onto the bonding agent when it is wet to enable the plaster to stick better.
